Continuing my entry on SixLives- campaigned for “Speak Good English”…
First praise on its story written in a blog style*** the story has somehow captivated my attention, continuing episode after episode. The unconventional writing style engages me into their story, drawing me as one of their friends instead. The 2nd praise is awarded to the comments and views posting on each blog entry. This creates interaction between the authors and readers too. A refreshing idea for new generation novelist and writers!

Speak "Good English" Campaign
Recently, I came across an article that is using blogs to promote the “Speak Good English” campaign on Today. Today papers have invited our famous Mr Brown to promote this campaign. (For those who are wondering- yes it’s the blogger whose blog was once closed for containing satire entries abt Singapore politician figures.)
Out of curiosity, I went on to check out how Mr Brown leads on the campaign. Interestingly, Mr Brown was one of the writers for sixlives.sg, an online drama whose episodes synopsis were written in the form of blog entries. A relatively new concept indeed – since blog has replaced our book diaries. Comments and views are welcome from readers, adding spices to this whole story indeed. Let me read the entries synopsis before I share more of it with you guys. That’s all for now.

Playing with army helmets and Japanese wooden sword
It was a greenish bulky metal scrap but it looks cute, I imagine that is what aliens wore when they come down to earth… given that earth is heavily forested, they can camouflaged themselves well under any brushes.
I squeezed my head into that darn bulky metal scrap, to which it weighs down heavily my head as it rest on my little skull. What a stupid design from the SAF??? Such heavy scrap should be incinerated long ago man! Dunno how the hell it survives till today.
Next, he brought out any piece of guy’s wonderment – a wooden Japanese sword! He demonstrated ways of grabbing this “long bamboo stick” and ways of attacking swashing it back and forth.
Caught me in the picture? Whahaha I look super funny, don’t I :P
Whahahha fun time at home!

My 25th Birthday Celebration
I celebrated my 25th birthday last Sat. Hitting on the number 25, i began to feel that i have aged. My spirit has futher been dampened by the tremedous stress at work. That very morning, i wake up feeling just like any other days in my life.
Despite the low spirit in me, i still doll myself up. Afterall, it had been another of my "BIG"day. Doning myself in a pinkish tight tunic, it made me more cheerful and young.
On my way to meet my dar dar, i wondered the surprises that lies ahead. A person who hates to be kept in suspense, this conjured up mixed feeling of anticipation and annoyance.
He had instructed me to meet him at city hall mrt at 1145, but turn up tardily only at 12.05. However, the bouquet of sunflowers he was holding on had saved him from being screamed at. whahahaa :P (flowers always had a touch of magic)
The 1st surprise had been a K-Box singing with Michelle and her baby!!! I am delighted having been my 1st time celebrating birthday at K-Box. It had been nearly 1/2 yr since my last time to k Box and the session had allowed me to sing my hearts out!
Dinner was at a fine dining Italian restaurant in Harding Road. The restaurant had a cute fiction name -The white rabbit. Reminds me of my darling bibi!!!!
http://www.thewhiterabbit.com.sg/ Restaurant URL
The ambience was warm and romantic. Perhaps because it had been converted from an old chapel. The entrance to the resturant was the 1st to amaze me, having beautiful walkway door build from a canopy of leaves and branches. Perfect for brides to walk through!!!
Main course : Curried Black Cod.
dar dar at the resturant .
The food was very nice. I love it. hehe but freaking exp. So perhaps only will return if we celebrate some big occassions again.

My 1st DSLR Camera
Woo hoo!!! i finally own a DSLR camera! Its Nikon D60, i am so excited as this would meant that i would be able to carry it around photographing. Hehe....
Front view
Side view
Gonna learn how to take good pictures. Who knows, perhaps i would be a photographer next time since i would be able to gain experience having to take photos while running the events and taking media coverage for my newsletter.
My little Pooh bear
There he was, sitting amid the shelves among other handphone accessories when i first spotted him. He looks so tiny and cute. The sales person came over and told us that he is able to light up and the light changes colour every second. There are a total of 7 colours! Amazing.
He was immediately bought home! I love him!!!

A dream come true
It all started on that day, when I first stepped into the compounds of the primitive looking hospital. The daylight was darkened by the heavy downpour earlier, making the building dim and eerie. Down the hallway towards the human resource office hang a line of photos, presumed to be some important contributors for the hospital. With such backdrop, I was seemingly taken back to my school days
The surroundings and decors had taken me aback as I did not imagine that I am here for a job interview. I was taken to the administrative block, where the HR executive led me up a flight of stairs, of which the backdrop was filled with mosaic tiles of the 60s.
My interview session with the Director of Operations went well. He was quite pleased with my portfolio and my ability to communicate effectively. I was offered the job after the first round of the interview. This triggers excitement and fear in me- excited because I landed on my dream job but fear that I cannot performed. Nevertheless, I still took up the challenge.
Four months passed. Looking back, I was glad to be given the opportunity and pursue my dreams. Everyday is a learning experience; it never fails to overwhelm me on how situations rise from mere nitty gritty issues.
I am finally accustomed to having my office in the hospital wards. The interior of my room is plain and time worn, but comfortable and homely at the same time. Who else would enjoy having a personal washing sink in their office; few but I enjoy such luxury.

Stupid Isamlic LAW
I'm damn pissed of having seen the news reporting about the Malaysia Model who openly accepts the punishment and even wants it to be conducted in the PUBLIC!
Her behaviour has in fact put shame on we ladies of the 21st century! ITs an INSULT to our modesty too! As women born in this new generation of the century, we should have protested and denied such riduclous law that was deem too absurd to even have been in the books till TODAY!!!!
Why on the hell did she accepts such verdict? On what ground is drinking in anyway a shameful and classified a wrong doing these days? WE should openly DRINK !!!! MUSLIMS WOMEN SHOULD NOT BE BIND by unreasonable rules!!!
Drinking these days should be considered a form of relaxtion, and this should be a norm to those people thriving in the entainment circle. How the hell can u possibilty avoid even a drop of alcohol when socializing with your clients and even friends?????
Mine goddness oh oh man!
I seriously feels that women of today, including MUSLIMS should exercise their rights and accept punishment only when one violates the LAW and not some ridiculous religion tenet blindly and illogically.

An unacceptable law!
I referred to the article as below: Malaysian model punished having caught drinking
http://sg.news.yahoo.com/ap/20090820/tap-as-malaysia-caning-for-beer-b3c65ae.html
This is ridiculous as i simply do not understand the unreasonable laws made by the Muslims. There should be laws to protect women's safety and rights even if punishment is unavoidable. Also, drinking is no crime and regardless of any stupid rules a race may implement, women should not receive caning.
This piece of news came to me as a shock and it provokes me fully given that it is unreasonable and ridiculous having being punished because of some muslim laws. THIS IS THE 21ST CENTURY AND LAWS that are ABSURD & NONSENSICAL SHOULD BE RESCRIND AND REMOVE FROM LAWS OF TODAY. Please note i am not against any discrimation on races. I just feel that it is not justifiable and that individuals of the young generation should be practical, realistic and down to earth.
Women should not be caned no matter what they have done wrong because women generally are weak in nature. Having to tolerate monthly discomfort and pains is enough, topping off the spasms of pain we will experience during childbirth.
ridiculous stupid rules. I am fuming mad having read this article!

Best Desserts Ever tried
Bakerzin offered, by far the most delicious dessert i ever taste! We tried the scouffle and e cheesetarts with ice cream delight. But their service sucks. No waiter was there to serve or await us in as we entered the restaurant. And we waited for quite sometime before the desserts arrived. And so, we took picture to ease our boredem.
But i will just do away with their lousy service since they offer delightful and mouthwatering desserts. Hehe
We shall try other desserts next time :) lala
My Super Cutie tofu
A few days back, me and dear dear went to teapot at iluma to chill out. Passing by the pushcarts area, there was a sale booth tugged right at the left corner. Curious, i went over to take a look since there is some crowds forming there, wondering in mind what was selling in there. It was the toy & comic sale! One of the big sign "2 for $10 caught my eye, drawing my soul queezing into the crowd gathering at that point. Dooperdoo T-shirts??? what the hell was that???? Dear dear then told me that Dooperdoo was the brand name for that pinkish evil bear i once liked at last yr's toy exhibition convention. That tofu man was also under Dooperdoo!

Whahaha, rummaging through the pile of mess created by avid buyers, i found what i am looking for .......
There, also on sale was this shopper's bag that resembles the evil bunnies on WII. whahahaa. Hence i also bought it back home!

ExtraORdinary Bears
This pair of interesting cutie was given to me as a anni present this month. They are definitely the cutest thing in my life. But y? Becos they can walk !!!! See the clip below....
I named the female Tinkle and the male Tinkie becos they sort of look like the twins stars pair. Hee.
They are battery operated. Brother and sisters they are -the brown coloured bear is the brother while the other is the sister. The most fascinating part about this pair is that the female bear dances in circle while the male bear toddles straight in his path. So cute!

Oh Food!! Here i comes.....
Recently, we have been actively scouring round SG for nice and cheap food! Becos SG is so boring and all we could do is window shopping around. BUT, the bad THING with this activity is that you always will not go home empty handed. I simply cant resist to temptation and ended up buying stuff. Be it cute, sweet, stylish or beautiful, i love to own them all. whhahaha, sounds scary.
Pretty fruit cake at Tampines 1, japanese restuarant..
Double Chocolate crepe at iluma, chocolate cafe....

So, realising that since we spent $ on materialistic items, we might as well enjoy something that fills our stomach up. whahhaha. So off we went to the new shopping malls at Tampines 1, POMO (formerly Paradiz Center) & Iluma.
Look at these mouth watering food we have tasted so far.....
Seafood appetitzer at Changing Appetite, Marine Sq...
And......
US!!! At Harry's Pub, Milenia Walk, Opps i forgotten to take a picture of the drink, tequilla gold we share :PGigantic Burgers at Mad Jack
Attracted by their must-try "Blue Mountains" poster outside the cafe, we settled down at MAd Jack for our dinner. It is a cosy restuarant specializing in western delights near Peace Center. The food sold are generally quite cheap and tasty.
Look at this tall burger! It is made up of 3 layers of beef patty. And it cost only $9.90 with fries. Damn worth the $$$$. Tried eating it as a whole but failed. The beef fell apart. Messy :P:P:P
After the main course comes dessert. We ordered their double chocolate mud cake. Delicious.....
It is quite a big pie of cake and walnuts were sprinkled atop the sticky layer of chocz.
Cheap and good food : MAd Jack Cafe :)

Bi Bi Chub Chub!!!
Time to blog abt my evil bunnies le! Long time nv mentioned abt them right. Dun worry, they are very in pink health and are naughtier than usual.
Chub chub & Bi bi have grown up, both in size and weight. Hee, to date, they are 9 months old le. They will be moving into adult hood in 3 months time. Chub chub has outgrown bibi by quite abit. He is chubby as always his butt has turned rounder than before. Bibi has only grown in size but still, i feel that he is still skinny. In terms of the diet, chubchub has always been the fast eater and it has nv change. Bibi, being the slower eater start snatching food away from chub chub who gnaws down pallets in spilt seconds!

And from the begining when we brought them back till now, they are still not used to being carried arnd by us! Damn it. i hate this but i dun care, just carry them to my chest. Chub likes to struggle violently and ended up scratching my hands and arms. Damn evil bunnies. But still i enjoy playing with them.

whahahah, i like to laugh at them when they eat their meals. hehe

Tips to a Successful Interview
I came across an article that provides tips on how you can do well to make an impression during an interview. First impression is the key factor that determines if you are the one they are looking for!
It is discussed that interviewers took only 10 minutes to decide you. Often, we do not really know how to perform well during an interview. Especially fresh graduates and honest people like me :P (judging that most of interviews i went to nv call back, it is = FAILED).
So how do you impress the hiring manager given just 10 mins and being your 1st time knowing him? Joe Turner, the writer of this article has some tips to share with us:
1. Know the four most important questions
-Why are you here?
-What can you do for us?
-Will you fit in? (Will you get along with our values and culture here?)
-What makes you different from everyone else that we may have talked with? (Will you go that extra mile?)
2. Be Prepared for the list of common questions that are asked during the interview:
-Tell me a little about yourself." (Question #2: "What can you do for us?")
-What do you know about us?" (Question #1: "Why are you here?")
-Why should we hire you (over everyone else we've seen)? (Question #4: "Will you go the extra mile?")
Other than the above, we must also go an extra mile to research on the company and the role that we are playing for the position we applied for. Try these tips for a successful interview!

Another Nightmare!
With a glint of hope, i accepted another job offer one month after i left Kumon. Never did i know that i had gotten myself into another pool of shit until the very 1st day at work!
Terrible training session - we were treated like prisoners of Gautama gosh (^#o#^) be it going home, doing practices and leaving for lunch, we were heavily monitored. It is similar to that of micro managing, to which the bitchy boss of mine protested that she DUN MICRO MANAGED her employees. sorta contradicting right? Anyway, after 1 and a half months of suffering, i am finally out of her clutches and am free to look for another job.
Silently, i am praying hard to god for a better job offer to come by....... 30 March marks the end of my jail term. Finally, i'm freed off like a bird- flying freely in the horizon.

Our First Year Anni!
SupperClub is located at Odean Towers, level 3. It is a fine dining restaurant cum pub. A pleasurable experience for me since i've never been to clubbing before. We were each given a menu of cocktails and wine, to which i'm clueless what to order! In the end, my dear dear order this oceania blue drink named Blue Lagoon.
A bubble foaming performance followed suit right after everybody completed their main course. It is quite an eye opening experience for me to actually watch the bubble girl producing bubbles that could contain a whole human body.
This restaurant has adopted a unique way on using inappropriate utensils to serve their food. Soup is poured into a giant jug container, Dessert is served in cigarette trays. The layout has been lavishly spread with a bulb of ice cream, mixed with some creamy thick yogurt and an assortment of berries (blue berries, raspberries and strawberries). A great combination that allows me to indulge this dessert with pleasure, without my stomach churning as i'm already damn full!
The next day, dear had surprise me with a big bouquet of lilies that was delivered right to my doorstep.

Tastiest chocolates in town!!!
Dear has sprung me a surprise last evening. Smiling at me, he fished out a heart-shaped Rocher from his sling. (=_=) I'm freaking happy to have that since i am a chocolate lover. A little sweet gift from the bottom of his heart. I cant bear to eat them cos they are simply too sweet to let them melt into my mouth and within seconds, they would have disappeared down into my stomach.
Anyway, I will always remember this box of chocolates in my heart hee.
