Dinner @ Tetsu

Had a sumptuous dinner
@ Tetsu last evening. Located at Tanglin Mall, the restaurant is some distance away from the wkend crowd, making the dining experience more relaxing as you will not be pressured by the crowd waiting for seat.

With soft warm lights, the dimly lit restaurant gives a sheer feel of romance and you will feel very
comfortable having your meals there. We order their specialty - Tempura and Grilled pork tenderloin. They are heavenly delicious. MUST TRY, especially the grilled pork!!!!

Grilled pork tenderloin

Tempura

Their specialty - teapot soup was marvelous too. It gives off a light sweetness that will tantalize your taste bud in the most wonderful way you can imagine..... Had hot soba as the sharing main food; was simply delicious that you will ask for more after tasting. The soup base was lightly salted, with a tint of sweetness in it, making the soba blends well with the soup.

Remember to speak proper English at all time

Local free distribution papers – TODAY has been gearing up the Speak Good English movement by publishing daily news feeding the importance of using proper English to its readers.

On one of article, it discusses that we should not degrade our English levels even when placing orders from the hawker stalls. Good English can be simple English too and it can be easily understood.

Although most hawkers receive little education, they must not be deprived of the chance to learn and speak proper simple English. One learns the language by listening and through frequent use of the particular.

I concurred the above as I had mastered my English through frequent usage in my daily lives too – listen more English channels, and write and speak more of the language. It is a habit which everyone should cultivate as proper English will be easily perceived when we are conversing with other counterparts outside Singapore. I doubt they would be able to understand our Snglish and it is a disrespect to the language itself if not use properly. Hence everyone- let's try our best to speak proper English to our peers!

Distance Fare System- A fair structure?

How fair is this new distance fare system? I was apparently disturbed when I discovered that my fare has increased from $0.69 to $0.71 today, contributing an increase of $0.02 for every single short distance trip I travelled for. I am definitely not among the commuters who have benefited from the implementation of distance fare. It was clearly not a fair practice.

The increase of $0.02 had raised this sensitive question in mind on whether if the increase was used to compromise for the lower fares which some commuters are paying for. If not, why does the system not benefited all but only some? The transport authority should have designed a system that is fair and flawless. This structure greatly disappointed me when i was among the majority who is looking forward to a lower transportation cost; instead my monthly transport fee has increased by between $0.60 and $1.00. Some may think that this increase might be insignificant but to me, it means alot because i do not see my wages increasing while my expenses are getting heavier every day.

A Day At Singapore Universal Studio

My second ride - @ Jurassic Park
This ride is fun! the bumper boat hits down the rapid fall, sending sudden jerks left and right to the bumper! The sudden plunge in the cave is awesome, sending some of us soaked from head to toe.

The 4D movie of Shrek! Great to try out! Having the 4D effect, you seem to be transformed into the show, where you will feel what the character is undergoing - water rains on you when the character sneezes and when webs of spiders falls right in front of the character.
