Meals so hard to swallow

Eating out is getting more expensive these days. Typical lunch plate which cost around $2.50 consisted of 2 vege and 1 meat with generous portion a year ago. Today, the same dishes might costs you between $2.80-$3.00. And, what's worst is the shrink in portions. A $3.00 meal is considered one of the lowest range, which might leave you with a half-filled stomach. The choice is yours, pay more to fill up your hungry stomach or leave filling half empty. Our daily expenses is rising but why is there no increment in our Salary? Is this justificable?? Does it mean that we do not have to eat or simply eat lesser, spent lesser or go on long diet?
Employers do not seem to under the reason on demanding higher salary. Instead they are always trying to lower what is offered to us. Y is this so? Is it because they can hire cheaper foreign talents, hence do not agree on the salary we expects? Cant they work on the maths and be reasonable while doing the hiring? What to do when you live in SG

An Ugly Side of People

I was amazed at how Singaporeans react when people around them are in distress. The heavy downpour last Wednesday left shop owners helpless and stressed when their shops was hit by floods, leaving their goods floating away into the streets along Orchard Road. And i was caught by surpise while reading this article about shoppers and passer-bys grabbing goods that bobbed on the knee high muddy water. Items include electronic items, fashion accessories etc. These Singaporeans show an ugly side of human nature. How amazing.....
